The point is located on both sides of the cheeks, so it is called Jia; The lower jaw bone is like a wheel (che). The point is located there, so it's called Jiache (Chinese Medicine Cuong Muc).

Combine with Daying ST5, Hegu LI4, Chengjiang CV24 for pulpitis, periodontitis.
Combine with Dicang ST4 to treat skewed eyes and distorted mouth.
Combine with Dicang ST4, Hegu LI4, Tinghui GB2, Renzhong DU26, Chengjiang CV24 to treat misaligned eyes and distorted mouth.
Combine with Dicang ST4, Jingming BL1 treatment of facial paralysis, peripheral nerve VII paralysis.
Combine with Yongquan KI1, Xingjian LV2, Hegu LI4, Erjian LI2, Neiting ST44 to treat toothache caused by the interior fire flaring up.

The authors found that the combination treatment significantly reduced pain and improved range of motion in patients with myofascial pain syndrome.
