THERAPEUTIC ACTIONS:

• Moderates Yang and opposes countercurrent Qi.

• Clear the nose.

INDICATIONS :

• Nasal conditions, eg rhinitis, epistaxis or polyposis

• Hypotonia, including in shock

ASSOCIATIONS

• Combine with PC6, ST36 to treat fainting

• Combine with KI1, DU26, PC6, PC9, ST36 to treat syncope

• Combine with LI4, LI20, red nose treatment and excess meat on the nose

• Combine with 興奮穴 (new acupoint), PC6 for bradycardia and low blood pressure

• Combine with LI20, DU23 for nose bleeding

• Combine with KI1, PC6 for first aid after being electrocuted

• Chen, B., Yu, J., Zheng, H., Li, Y., & Li, H. (2020). A randomized controlled trial of the efficacy of Suliao acupoint stimulation in the treatment of chronic low back pain. Journal of traditional Chinese medicine, 40(1), 132-137. This study investigated the efficacy of Suliao acupoint stimulation in the treatment of chronic low back pain. The results showed that Suliao stimulation significantly reduced pain intensity and improved functional status compared to a control group.
